    Title: Cozy Home Decor
For a lot of people, home decorating just comes easy. For others, they just don't know how to make a house feel cozy. Some suggestions to create your own comforting space are below.

1)Don't buy items just becasue they are "popular". Buy or collect furniture, pictures, etc that YOU like. If you see something that grabs your attention, get it. Don't worry what other people think about it. It is your home, not theirs. Combine your love of cats with baskets or cows with vintage bedwarmers, etc.

2)You can combine old with new. Decorating doesn't have a set of rules. Old baskets, new frames, vintage style accessories can all be combined in the same room for a great look. Yard sales or estate sales are great places to find old pieces that will accent your home. My dining room wall is covered in antique kitchen graters, slicers, decorative plates, etc which gives the room a very cozy feel.

3)Walls are meant to be covered! OK...don't fill every open space on the wall, but a little "cluttered" look is very warm. Don't fill every wall in a room as it will be overwhelming, but one or two walls with coordinating items is very pleasant. Paint is also a very important aspect. I like to combine finished wood items against a hunter or dark green wall. It really makes the wood "POP". Dark colors do not necessarily make a room feel smaller. If you put lighter colored accents in the room or use one wall as an accent wall in a lighter color, the room will not lose it's air of roominess.

4)Dig out the old family photos and frame them in period style frames. I have generations of my family framed and on display (their pictures that is...). Big pictures in the back at varying heights and smaller pictures in the front. I like to put small knick knacks around them as well. For example, my father and brothers were all railroad employees. I have vintage toy trains around their pictures. I use Boyd's Bears around some of my children's pictures (like the graduation bear by my oldest daughter's graduation photo). Again, a little cluttered look is a good thing. Items arranged in perfect order makes for a sterile, cold environment.

5)Art prints can express your style and even your thoughts. A print can bring a room together. Also, you can use a print to get ideas for what to place in your home. For example, if you love a print that has candles, stars, baskets and vines in it, use the items seen in the print to decorate your shelves, walls and tables. If you like the look on the print, you will love it in your home.

6)Remember your bathroom and laundry room need your decorative touch as well. Use our art prints to add rules or comedy to your room. What mother hasn't wanted to charge the kids for doing the ironing and washing. We have a print for that! Tired of people not cleaning up after themselves? There is a print for that too!

It is the small touches that make a house a home. Burn candles, have comfy throws and pillows for snuggling and decor that says YOU live there. When company comes to my house they always say "it is so you." You can do it too! At www.print-decor.com you will find prints and home decor to fit your needs.

    Title: My Inspiration

    Hi Everyone!

I guess most business owners have an inspiration or reason for starting their own business. It is very individualized and personal, and it is what makes you stick it out day after day. This is my story of how I opened Print Decor N More at www.print-decor.com .

My inspiration is derived from my son Gage, who is 4 years old and a high-functioning autistic child. His life is based on routines. Everything has to be done a certain way and things are to look a certain way. If something is wrong, like a burned out lightbulb, his mind fixates on it and he lets us know about it until it is repaired. Going to work as a nurse for 12 hour shifts is not compatible with his mind and life. He needs for me to be here. When I am not home, his routine is disrupted and he is miserable. It is not his fault. It is just how his brain works.

I decided that an online store would be the way to work because it lets me earn money, meet wonderful people and spend my day with Gage. It is my sincere prayer that the business will flourish so I do not have to work as a nurse any longer and I can help my young son flourish as well. I would love to be able to leave a thriving business for him to inherit someday. I just hope it is in the distant future.

I have a heart condition called Cardiomyopathy. Basically the heart muscle stiffens and enlarges causing it to pump insuffiently. I have been battling this for many, many years and watched as two of my siblings passed away from related genetic heart disorders. This, of course, makes it difficult to work as a nurse. I give my patients every bit of energy I have when I am with them because they need and deserve it. I love the work, but my health and my son are my priority. A small business is what we need.

Everything happens for a reason, or so I have been told. God has His plan for us and we must put our trust and faith in Him to carry us through. He gave me 4 wonderful children and two step-children, a supportive husband and the intelligence to make a life for my family. I have been blessed and I am grateful. Yes, I have adversity in my life, but I will NOT let it determine my future or my child's future.

Thank you so much for visiting with us. We truly value each and every person that visits with us.
